Cultural Events
The Australian High Commission's Cultural Program was born out of a Government to Government Cultural Exchange Agreement between Australia and Malaysia over 20 years ago.
The program seeks to introduce the different facets of Australian culture and arts to a Malaysian audience through a range of projects which includes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, curatorial exchanges among others.
An important aspect of the Cultural Program is the strong emphasis on person to person links and cross-cultural exchanges. Collaborative programs and arts residencies between both Australian and Malaysian art practitioners and organisations have been initiated with both parties benefiting tremendously from the cultural exchange.
